Dr. Deacon
Consultant/Advisor
Dr. Deacon’s research is focused on disruptive technological improvements in composites, electronics, and sensors through the use of nanomaterials such as graphene. His Ph.D. thesis titled Sensors: Metal-Organic Cages and Graphene laid the foundations for a novel method of sensing any analyte through the combination of chemistry and nanoscience. Funded by the UK’s engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
The vision of Dr. Deacon’s research is to unlock the technological potential of 2-dimensional physics and the discrete control found within the field of nanoscience in order to bring the advantages to the commercial landscape. His industrial work began with leading a naval marine coating project which successfully achieved dramatic improvements to the benchmark coating regarding corrosion resistance. During the coronavirus pandemic he took the initiative and drove a project that developed a cost-effective, disruptive, and novel viral sensing platform which can be applied to other respiratory viruses.
Dr. Deacon joins the TQM advisory panel with close industrial connections on the worldwide, ensuring the highest standards are adhered to; ensuring client satisfaction and prosperity.
